Projeto Tamar
Founded in 1980, this plan is recognized internationally like one of the experiences that they have had greater happening regarding the marine safeguard.
Search and Conservation of the five species of marine turtles that are in Brazil, all threatened of extinction, are the main mission of the Tamar plan.
The base of Ubatuba is situated in Itaguà, with 1800 m ² of exposure where you will be able to admire the turtles dipped in appropriate artificial pools.
Inside of the same area there is, moreover, the Caiçara Museum that anticipates the history, the dresses and the customs of the region through utensils, paintings, photo and decorations.
